The Weekly Summary delivers an analytics recap straight to your inbox every Monday, so you can stay on top of how a site is doing without logging in.
What Is the Weekly Summary?
A weekly email for a single website containing:
- Key metrics, compared to the previous week
- Your top pages, traffic sources, countries, and operating systems
- Any anomalies (warning- or critical-level) detected during the week
It is enabled per website, and it goes out automatically. There is nothing to schedule or assemble yourself.
What the Email Contains
Key Metrics
Each metric is shown for the week with its change versus the previous week:
| Metric | Example | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Visitors | 8,450 | +12% |
| Page Views | 12,300 | +10% |
| Avg Session Duration | 2:45 | +10% |
Top Breakdowns
The email lists the top five for each of:
- Pages - most-viewed paths and their share of views
- Sources - where visitors came from
- Countries - visitor location
- Operating systems - what people browsed on
Anomalies
If Zenovay detected any warning- or critical-level anomalies during the week (for example a sharp traffic drop), they are highlighted at the top so you can act on them. If nothing unusual happened, this section is simply omitted.
Enabling the Weekly Summary
The Weekly Summary is a per-website setting, so you turn it on from that website's settings.
Open the website's settings
Go to Domains, open the website you want, then open its settings and select the Reports tab. (Direct link:
app.zenovay.com/domains/{id}?tab=reports.)Find Email Preferences
Locate the Email Preferences card.
Turn on Weekly Summary
Toggle Weekly Summary on. The change saves immediately.
The same card also lets you toggle Viral Traffic Alerts (notify on unexpected traffic spikes) and Anomaly Alerts (notify when metrics deviate from expected patterns).
Who Receives It
Recipients are derived from your team automatically, so there is no recipient list to manage manually:
- Eligible team members are owners, admins, and editors. Viewers do not receive it.
- A member can opt out of these emails from their own account preferences (Settings → Account → Notifications).
- If you have the Weekly Summary enabled on more than one website, each recipient gets one consolidated email covering all of them, rather than a separate email per site.
When It Sends
The summary is sent every Monday morning (UTC). The schedule is fixed, so there is no send-day or send-time picker. Weeks where a site had no visitors are skipped for that site.
Previewing the Digest
If you want to see what the recap looks like before relying on the Monday email, you can generate a one-off preview. Zenovay's AI can also produce a richer on-demand digest for a website that adds visitor value-score and engagement trends plus a short list of recommended actions. Ask in the in-app AI assistant (for example, "send me this week's digest") to trigger it for the current website.
Reading the Email
The email is laid out top to bottom:
- Header - the website name and the week's date range
- Anomalies - anything that needs attention (if detected)
- Key metrics - the numbers and their week-over-week change
- Breakdowns - top pages, sources, countries, and operating systems
- Link - a button to open the full dashboard
Each email also links back to the Reports tab so you can change your preferences, and to your account preferences so you can opt out.
The email is mobile-friendly and scans well on a phone.
Digest vs Dashboard
| Aspect | Weekly Summary | Dashboard |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency | Weekly (Monday) | Real-time |
| Depth | Summary | Full detail |
| Access | Sign in | |
| Best for | Staying informed | Investigation |
Use the Weekly Summary for a regular check-in, keeping the team aware of trends, and surfacing anomalies you might otherwise miss.
Use the dashboard for deep analysis, real-time monitoring, and detailed reports.
Troubleshooting
Not Receiving the Email
If the Monday email doesn't arrive:
- Confirm Weekly Summary is toggled on for the website (Reports tab).
- Confirm your team role is owner, admin, or editor - viewers don't receive it.
- Confirm you haven't opted out under Settings → Account → Notifications.
- Check your spam folder and verify the email on your account is correct.
- Remember that a site with no visitors that week is skipped.
Numbers Look Off
If the data seems wrong:
- Compare against the dashboard for the same week.
- Check you're looking at the right website (one email may cover several).
- The summary covers the last 7 days versus the 7 days before that.
- If it still looks wrong, contact support.
Formatting Issues
If the email displays poorly:
- Try a different email client.
- Enable images.
